At Pacific Rim Rescue our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the dog's background and your family's needs. Every pup is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pets permanent home.

We will then call you directly to discuss all-things dog. During this friendly conversation, we will also discuss potential hazards for the pet that the adopter may not have considered.

Once approved, the search for your new pet begins. We will evaluate dogs currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family, including the dogs that you prefer.

We will discuss a location for a volunteer to meet with you and your potential new dog. If everything goes well, you'll be headed home with your new best friend that same day!
